Being what it is, and far from perfect :) - the Freedom Day EP is the first audio project I created completely by myself. It was created on 27 April 2016, a South African national holiday commemorating our first democratic elections, which took place in 1994.
Soon after creating the music, I experienced a hard drive crash, in which I lost all the open music files for the project. I only returned to the project many months later, and decided to release it anyway, flawed as it is. I was very limited as to what i could do in finishing it off, as I could only work with each track as a single audio file, as opposed to separate music files.
Perhaps better approached as a musical curiosity than an official release, the Freedom Day EP was inspired by some romantic composers I was listening to at the time, including Johannes Brahms and JS Bach.
